In this class we will find methods of communication between partners to create rituals around birth and postpartum period. Rituals in birth are described as coping mechanisms for pain and emotional distress. Participants will receive partner exercises and comfort measures that can be used pre and post partum period. While even the most “natural” births can be an equally wonderful and scary experience, partner communication prior to birth can help parents define clear ideas on what to expect in labor and delivery and postpartum. In this class we will discuss sex during pregnancy, common questions and concerns and healing physically and emotionally from labor. Participants will leave with one to two methods of communication that help enrich relationships and connection .
